Textile Conservation Limited is an independent studio providing conservation services to clients in the public and private sectors.  The business is owned and run by Alison Lister, an Institute of Conservation (ICON) accredited conservator with over 25 years experience. The studio provides practical solutions to the care and conservation of all types of textile artefacts including tapestries, furnishings, costume, ecclesiastical textiles, upholstered furniture, embroideries, flags, vehicle interiors, rugs, teddy bears and modern textile art.
The studio occupies purpose-fitted premises in Bristol with good access. It meets all the security, fire prevention and insurance arrangements required by
the UK Government Indemnity Scheme.

Our clients

Our clients include both individuals and organisations located locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. We undertake conservation services for museums, archives, historic houses, heritage centres, churches, community groups, amateur collectors, other conservators and private owners.

Current clients include the National Trust, English Heritage, Bristol Museums and Art Gallery, Berkeley Castle, South West Heritage, Eton College and Bristol Cathedral.  The studio has been on the National Trust’s register of approved conservation studios since 1990.
